Supported providers
AI Summaries requires DaazSync PRO. Choose any of these — bring your own API key:
Need Groq or Gemini specifics, or a custom endpoint? See Custom AI Providers.
How it works
When enabled, each imported article’s content is sent to your configured AI provider, which returns a short, readable summary. The summary replaces (or supplements, depending on your layout) the raw feed excerpt.
Set it up
- Go to DaazSync → Settings → AI.
- Pick a provider and paste your API key.
- Click Test Connection to confirm the key and provider are working — this single button tests whichever provider is currently active.
- Choose an AI Summary Length:
Short(2–3 sentences),Standard(4–5 sentences), orDetailed(3–4 paragraphs). - Save. New imports will now be summarized automatically.
Controlling AI cost
Large import runs can mean a lot of API calls. Cap it under DaazSync → Settings → AI → Max AI calls per import run:
| Setting | Behaviour |
|---|---|
0 | Unlimited — every eligible article in the run gets a summary. |
1–500 | Caps how many articles receive an AI summary per run. Default: 20. |
Daily Briefing
A companion feature that condenses your day’s top articles into a single AI-written briefing, generated automatically overnight and displayed with its own shortcode. Article excerpts fed into the briefing prompt are capped at 40 words each, regardless of your configured summary length — this keeps the prompt within free-tier per-minute token limits (e.g. Groq’s 8,000 TPM) even when summarizing up to 30 articles.
